Devastation as FIVE killed in M6 crash and lorry driver arrested
THE devastation of a car crash that killed five people on the M6 has been exposed in shocking photos.

Four women and a man, all believed to be adults, died in the crash with a lorry this morning.
Now the lorry driver is under arrest on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Staffordshire Police closed the motorway’s southbound carriageway from J15 to J14.
“Nothing could be done to save the driver and four passengers”
Those killed were the driver and passengers of a car, the West Midlands Ambulance Service said.
A sixth passenger, aged in his 40s, suffered numerous serious injuries and received advanced trauma care.
Their Nissan Micra was in a serious collision with a lorry, the driver of which was unhurt, at approximately Four.30am this morning.
Today’s accident, close to Stoke-on-Trent, is expected to keep the road closed “for some considerable time” the police said in a statement.

An ambulance spokeswoman said: “Emergency services discovered a car with six occupants inwards who had been involved in a significant collision with a HGV.
"Sadly, it quickly became apparent that nothing could be done to save the driver and four passengers. All five were confirmed dead on scene.
"The sixth occupant, a man in his 40s, suffered numerous serious injuries and received advanced trauma care by medics at the scene.
"Once stabilised, the man was taken by land ambulance on blue lights to Royal Stoke University Hospital for further care.”

On Twitter, police urged drivers to avoid the area and asked for patience as they attempt to release traffic.

Maps also showcase traffic is slow on several roads into the city, including the A6, A62 and M602.
