Jada Pinkett Smith & Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson Plunge Tupac Biopic ‘All Eyez On Me`
Jada Pinkett Smith (Gotham) and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson (Power), are not blessed with the fresh film about the life of slain rapper Tupac Shakur, that is off to a strong embark at the box office. Lionsgate`s All Eyez On Me, starring Demetrius Shipp Jr. and Kat Graham, opened today on what would have been Shakur`s 46th bday.
Graham plays Pinkett Smith, who met Shakur in her hometown of Baltimore when the two were teenagers. Pinkett Smith took to Twitter to express her disdain for the film, which she called “deeply hurtful.”
Forgive me… my relationship to Pac is too precious to me for the scenes in All Eyez On Me to stand as truth.
She went on to criticize things that she feels were misrepresented in the film.
I've never been to any of Pac's shows by his request. We never had an argument backstage.
Pac never said goodbye to me before leaving for LA. He had to leave abruptly and it wasn't to pursue his career.
Pac never read me that poem. I didn't know that poem existed until it was printed in his book.
Forgive me… my relationship to Pac is too precious to me for the scenes in All Eyez On Me to stand as truth.
However, she praised Graham and Shipp, telling her perceived problems with the film were not their fault.
To @KatGraham and @Dshippjr this is no fault of yours. Thank you for bringing so much heart and spirit to your roles.
You both did a beautiful job with what you were given. Thank you both.
Lastly, she paid tribute to Shakur , tweeting “Glad bday Pac, you are cradled in my heart for eternity. I love you..”
Glad bday Pac, you are cradled in my heart for eternity.
50 Cent took to Instagram to blast the film, calling it “trash.”

The Lionsgate Code Black/Morgan Creek film could unseat Wonder Woman for the No. Two spot this weekend at the domestic box office.

It`s the script that`s the problem. A duo white guys writing about what they read about on Wikipedia, know what they know.
It`s called dramatization. Look into it. The writers`skin color is irrelevant.
Its called LIES …
So Morgan Creek has produced another not very good movie. In other shocking news, the earth continued to revolve around the sun and water is moist.
This “not very good movie” is a massive success. Deal with it.
fake, fake fake concern. what a bunch of crap.
Sad I guess they didn`t wanna waste money by getting Jada and others that knew PAC personally to avoid dishing out funds they would have gotten back
C`mon, fifty would never say anything like that about anyone! I`ll bet you his Twitter account was hacked by the Russians.
This film is nothing but a shoddy, rough capitalization on Straight Outta Compton. Except, Andrea Berloff spent a year and a half doing extensive research to write that film, and this was a rushed TV movie.
That movie was bull too, eazy e died with more money than all those rejects combined.
The movie would have been made either way, but SOC helped win it theatrical distribution. Too bad the quality/accuracy is angering some people, but it`s having success at the box office.
Ms Berloff got her information first-hand from the members of NWA…big difference, don`t you think? And good or bad, this movie is gonna do well simply because it`s about Tupac.
Can`t please everybody
People should stop celebrating the ‘thug` culture. I imagine no one here is in high school, anymore. I`ve never seen more people get killed over a theme song. Unless Ghengis Khan or Mohammed had a theme song as they despoiled other people`s land raping and killing. When I see a 50+ year old fellow talking about how excellent the NWA biopic was, I find it wrong.
Just because some people don`t like it, doesn`t mean there`s something wrong with it
Lol. I liked it. Fifty cent is always talked shit on everyone. Old news.
